Managing Project Members

Learn how to view, search, filter, and update project member roles and admin access in Foreman to manage team permissions effectively.

Once members have been added to a project, you can manage their access, roles, and admin privileges from the project members view in Foreman.

Viewing the member list

Navigate to your project and open the Members section. The member list displays:

  • Name -- The member's display name from their Autodesk profile.
  • Email -- Their account email address.
  • Roles -- All ACC roles currently assigned to the member.
  • Admin Access -- Whether the member has project admin access enabled.
  • Date Added -- When the member was added to the project.

Filtering and searching

Use the search bar at the top of the member list to filter by name or email address. You can also filter by role using the role dropdown to quickly find all members with a specific assignment.

Combine the search bar with the role filter to narrow results quickly -- for example, search for a name while filtering to "Document Manager" to find a specific person's document access.

Changing a member's roles

  1. Locate the member in the list and click on their row to open the member detail panel.
  2. In the Roles section, you can add or remove roles using the role selector.
  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Role changes take effect immediately in ACC. The member's access will update the next time they load the project.

Toggling admin access

Project admin access can be toggled independently of role assignments:

  1. Find the member in the list.
  2. Click the Admin Access toggle next to their name.
  3. Confirm the change when prompted.

You can also update admin access in bulk by selecting multiple members and using the Bulk Actions menu.

Removing a member from a project is permanent in ACC. The member will lose access to all project files and data. If you need to restore their access later, you will have to re-add them and reassign their roles.

Removing a member

  1. Select the member from the list.
  2. Click Remove Member in the detail panel or use the context menu.
  3. Confirm the removal. The member will be removed from the project in ACC.
