Understanding Feature Modules
Learn about the four toggleable feature modules and how organization admins control them.
What are Feature Modules?
Feature modules are groups of related features that can be enabled or disabled for your entire organization. This allows admins to tailor Foreman to your team's needs.
Available Modules
| Module | Features included |
|---|---|
| Quality Control | QA/QC checks, rule sets, zone templates, validation lists |
| Member Management | Add/manage project members, role finder, access requests, audit, permissions graph |
| File Operations | File browser, file search, folder deployment, attribute extraction |
| AI Integration | AI chat, MCP settings, AI-assisted features |
Always-on Features
These features are always available regardless of module settings:
- Dashboard
- Create Project
- Project Settings
- Scheduled Jobs
- Hub Settings
- APS Configuration
- Organization
- Billing
- Storage
Who can toggle modules?
Only admins with the Manage Feature Modules permission (or the organization owner) can enable or disable modules. This is done from the Organization page under the Settings tab.
