Managing Your Subscription

Learn how to manage your Foreman subscription, including starting after a trial, updating billing details, viewing invoices, and adjusting usage through Stripe.

Foreman uses Stripe to handle all billing. From your billing settings you can subscribe after your trial, adjust your usage, view invoices, and update payment methods.

Your 14-Day Trial

When you create a new organisation, it starts on a 14-day Business trial with full access to every feature. No credit card is required.

Trials are per-organisation. If you joined an existing organisation via invite, you're already on whatever plan or trial that organisation is using — there's no separate trial for invited members.

While your trial is active, the billing page shows:

  • A Trial badge with the number of days remaining
  • Your current usage (hubs connected, admin seats, managed users)
  • An estimated monthly cost based on that usage
  • A Subscribe Now button to lock in your plan whenever you're ready

You'll receive email reminders 7 days and 3 days before your trial ends. If the trial ends without subscribing, your account is downgraded and most features are locked until you subscribe.

Subscribing during your trial keeps your access uninterrupted. Your remaining trial days are passed to Stripe so you won't be charged until the trial ends.

Subscribing to Business

  1. Navigate to Billing in the sidebar.
  2. Click Subscribe Now.
  3. Foreman pre-fills your hub count, admin seat count, and managed user band based on your actual usage. Adjust if needed.
  4. Choose Monthly or Annual billing (annual saves 20%).
  5. Click through to Stripe Checkout to complete payment.

Your subscription becomes active immediately on payment (or after your remaining trial days, if any).

Adjusting Your Subscription

Foreman's pricing scales with your hub, seat, and managed user counts. To change any of these:

  1. Open the Stripe Billing Portal via the Manage in Stripe button on your billing page.
  2. From the portal, you can update payment methods, view invoices, or contact support to change quantities.

Quantity changes are prorated automatically by Stripe — you only pay for what you use.

Accessing the Stripe Billing Portal

Click Manage in Stripe on your billing page to open the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can:

  • View and download past invoices
  • Update your credit card or payment method
  • Update your billing address and tax information
  • Cancel your subscription

Invoice History

All invoices are available in the Stripe billing portal and on your billing page. Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice date and number
  • Plan breakdown (base, hubs, seats, managed user band)
  • Amount charged and payment status
  • A downloadable PDF for your records

Updating Payment Methods

  1. Open the Stripe billing portal via Manage in Stripe.
  2. Click Payment Methods.
  3. Add a new card or remove an existing one.
  4. Set the new card as default if needed.

Foreman accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe.

Update your payment method before it expires to avoid service interruption. Stripe sends a reminder email before your card's expiry date.

Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe Billing Portal. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, after which your account is downgraded and most features are locked. Your data is preserved.

Pricing Quotes for Internal Approval

If you need to share pricing with your finance team or manager before subscribing, generate a shareable quote from the pricing page. The quote produces a branded line-item breakdown — base price, seats, hubs, managed users — that you can send via email or share via a public link.
