Reviewing and Approving Requests
Learn how to review, approve, or reject access requests in your project, manage request statuses, and ensure only authorized users are granted access.
The request queue
All incoming access requests appear in the Access Requests queue for your project. Each entry shows:
- Requester name and email address
- Company name
- Submission date
- Current status (Pending, Approved, Rejected)
The queue defaults to showing Pending requests first. Use the status filter to view approved, rejected, or all requests.
Reviewing a request
Click on any request to open its detail view. Here you can see:
- All form responses submitted by the requester
- The roles they requested (if role mapping fields were included)
- The requester's email domain
- Submission timestamp
Review the details carefully before making a decision. If additional information is needed, you can contact the requester directly using the email address provided.
Only project administrators can review and action access requests. If you cannot see the Access Requests section, check that you have admin permissions for the project.
Approving a request
- Open the request detail view.
- Verify the requester's information and requested roles.
- Optionally adjust the roles that will be assigned.
- Click Approve.
Once approved, Foreman automatically provisions the user in your ACC project with the assigned roles. The requester receives an email notification confirming their access has been granted.
Rejecting a request
- Open the request detail view.
- Click Reject.
- Optionally enter a reason for the rejection.
The requester receives an email notification that their request was not approved. The rejection reason, if provided, is included in the notification.
Bulk approval
When you have multiple pending requests to process:
- In the request queue, select the checkbox next to each request you want to approve.
- Click Bulk Approve in the toolbar.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
All selected requests are approved and provisioned using the roles each requester originally selected. Bulk rejection is also available using the same selection mechanism.
Bulk approval uses the roles selected by each requester without giving you the chance to adjust them individually. If you need to modify roles for specific requests, approve those individually instead.
Notification emails
Foreman sends email notifications at each stage:
| Event | Recipient | Content |
|---|---|---|
| New request submitted | Project administrators | Requester details and a link to review |
| Request approved | Requester | Confirmation with project access instructions |
| Request rejected | Requester | Rejection notice with optional reason |
