Linked Accounts (Autodesk)

Learn how Autodesk accounts link to your Foreman profile, view and manage external logins, identify your primary login, and safely unlink or re-link your Autodesk account.

Foreman uses Autodesk as its primary identity provider. When you sign in or sign up with your Autodesk account, it is automatically linked to your Foreman profile. This page explains how linked accounts work and how to manage them.

Viewing Your Linked Accounts

  1. Navigate to Manage Account from the user menu.
  2. Select External logins from the sidebar.
  3. You will see a list of external identity providers linked to your Foreman account, along with the associated email address or username.

The Primary Login Badge

If Autodesk is your only authentication method (i.e. you do not have a local password set), the external logins page displays a Primary login badge next to your Autodesk account.

You cannot unlink your Autodesk account if it is your only sign-in method. Removing it would lock you out of your Foreman account. To unlink Autodesk, first set a local password from the account management page.

Unlinking an External Account

If you have both a local password and a linked Autodesk account, you can remove the Autodesk link:

  1. Go to Manage Account > External logins.
  2. Click Remove next to the Autodesk provider.
  3. Confirm the action when prompted.

After unlinking, you will sign in with your email and password only. You can re-link your Autodesk account at any time by clicking Sign in with Autodesk on the login page while already signed in with your password, or from the External logins settings page.

How Autodesk Linking Works

When you sign in with Autodesk for the first time, Foreman:

  • Creates a new account using your Autodesk profile (name, email).
  • Stores your Autodesk tokens securely to enable access to Autodesk Construction Cloud data.
  • Sets up a default APS configuration so you can start browsing hubs and projects immediately.

Your Autodesk tokens are refreshed automatically. If you revoke Foreman's access from your Autodesk account settings, you will need to re-authorize on your next sign-in.
