Nothing automatic. We don't ask for a credit card up front, so we can't charge you without you doing anything. On day 15, your account goes read-only — your data stays intact, your configuration stays intact, and you have 30 days to either upgrade to a paid plan, request an extension (just email us), or export everything and walk away. After 30 days of inactivity we delete the data. No dark patterns.

Fair question, and one we take seriously. Autodesk has historically preferred to be a platform and let specialised tools handle opinionated workflows — that's why APS exists and why they certify integrations like ours. But we can't promise they won't build a competing feature someday. Here's how we think about it: we move faster on narrow workflows, we know the platform from the inside as an Autodesk Authorized Developer since 2020, we're vendor-neutral inside our scope (your naming conventions, your ISO 19650 variant, your firm's quirks), and your data is yours — everything in Foreman exports cleanly, so if you ever need to leave, you take your configuration and history with you. No lock-in.

Every workflow has an export. QA rules export to JSON. Check results export to CSV and PDF. Permission snapshots, member audits, folder matrices — all exportable. If you cancel, you can trigger a full account export from the settings page; we'll send you a zip within 24 hours and delete your account 30 days later (or immediately on request).

Autodesk identity is the primary authentication method — users sign in with their existing Autodesk account, inheriting Autodesk's enterprise-grade security. Admin password logins enforce two-factor authentication via authenticator app and support passkey (WebAuthn/FIDO2). All sessions are encrypted.

Foreman doesn't store your ACC files. Content streams through memory for QA extraction and is never cached — the file stays where it belongs, in your Autodesk CDE. The same applies to SharePoint (content streams through Microsoft Graph) and Box (content streams through pre-signed dl.boxcloud.com URLs) — never cached, never copied. Free-tool uploads at /tools are discarded after processing. Files you upload inside the product (PDF zone templates, attachments) are retained with admin-controlled tenant-level retention — you set how long.

Foreman connects via official Autodesk Platform Services (APS) APIs. Add Foreman as a Custom Integration in your Account Admin — no developer portal required. Consultants can bring their own APS credentials and switch between accounts.

No. Foreman includes seven built-in system rule sets covering all twelve rule types, plus five ISO 19650 validation lists. Clone any built-in set to customize. The AI regex builder generates patterns from example filenames.

Foreman is built by Dodzi Agbenorku and the team at IssueLab. Dodzi has spent the last nine years in BIM and information management, working across aviation, cultural, education, and commercial programmes in the UK. He's ISO 19650 certified, Autodesk Revit Certified Professional, and holds an MSc in BIM from UWE Bristol. He founded IssueLab in 2020 to build the software tools he kept needing; IssueLab has been shipping Revit and Navisworks add-ins and web platforms ever since, as an Autodesk Authorized Developer.
