What is Access Request Management?

Access Request Management is a self-service onboarding system built into Foreman. It lets you create branded forms for project access requests, automatically approve or reject requests based on configurable rules, and provision members to Autodesk Forma projects with the correct roles and product access levels.

Can I brand the access request form?

Yes. You can customize the form with your company colors, logo, and company name. Choose between fixed-role or user-selects-role modes, add custom questions (text, dropdown, date, yes/no), and toggle the 'Powered by Foreman' footer on or off.

How does auto-approval work?

Auto-approval rules match incoming requests by email domain, specific email address, requested role, or answers to custom questions. Rules are evaluated in priority order and support AND/OR condition logic. You can schedule rules with timezone support, active days and hours, and an out-of-office mode for coverage when approvers are away.

What happens when a request is approved?

When a request is approved — manually or via auto-approval — Foreman automatically provisions the user to the Autodesk Forma project with the correct roles and product access levels. The requester receives an approval email notification with details of their new access.

Can users check existing access?

Yes. The access request form includes a 'Check Existing Access' feature. Users enter their email address and Foreman checks whether they already have access to the project, showing their current roles and product access levels. This avoids duplicate requests.

What analytics are available?

The analytics dashboard includes a status donut chart showing approved, pending, and rejected counts, weekly request trends, response time buckets (under 1 hour, 1-4 hours, 4-24 hours, over 24 hours), and per-domain approval rates. You can export charts as PNG images or the underlying data as CSV.
